Almudena Dom?nguez Arranz is a retired Professor of Archaeology at the University of Zaragoza. Her research in Archaeology and Numismatics has resulted, among other works, in the coediting and coauthorship of La Castellina a sud di Civitavecchia: origini ed eredit?. Origines protohistoriques et ?volution d?un habitat ?trusque (L?Erma di Bretschneider). She has also oriented her multidisciplinary work toward gender studies, a field in which the coediting of Mothers and Families in Antiquity: Female Models in the Transmission of Emotions and Heritage (Trea), and the authorship of Mater civitatis: Forms of Patronage, Charity and Foundations for Children (Oxbow), stand out.
